You Capture-- Outside

So here I sit eating Honey Nut Cheerios thinking what am I going to do with you capture, I didn't get any photos of us outside.  Then to my surprise, after I uploaded my camera card.

I had already forgotten what we had done this past weekend.

The weather has been BEAUTIFUL these past couple of days! Warm and breezy.  Perfect.  I wish it would stay like this all the time, but unfortunately the snow will come.  Hopefully just for Christmas and then melt right away... (okay yeah wishful thinking I know)

anyway back to the point.

Beautiful weather.  All these photos were taking BEFORE the beautiful, cool, breezy, weather showed itself.  It was HOT and MUGGY.

Zane was infatuated with this butterfly, but getting him to touch it or let it sit on his hand was another story.  He was NOT having that at all!

Every year Spencer, IA does a "Thanks with Franks".  All the business' on main street grill hotdogs and have popcorn and drinks for free.  Just them saying thank you for the business.

Makinley was sure enjoying the outdoors with her aunt Tanya

Dad, Zane, and Diesel watching the sunset off the back deck.

I can't believe its just about over.....

You Capture--In the kitchen

Okay so I probably took way too many photos for this weeks challenge but it is the kitchen....

The kitchen is probably where we spend most of our time, well at least I do anyway.  Between feeding Zane, and cleaning up. Then making bottles, and cleaning up. Then comes dinner, and well you get the picture.  It never ends, right.

My kitchen has horrible light, I take that back my HOUSE has horrible light.  I have one window in my living room and it's never has the sun directly on it.  So I have to rely on the little light from above our kitchen table.

This painting is hanging on my wall by our kitchen table,  my kitchen is currently decorated with wine stuff, because well wine is gooood! ha ha

This is my VERY unorganized corner shelf of recipes.  Shout out to Becky at iheart blog for Grandma's Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars.  If you have not had these you are missing out!
They are UH-MA-ZING--LY good for your waist line.

stainless steel canisters, I probably touch these the most.  There is candy in the small one and little monster man knows this so he's alway trying to get into them.  Move them to a different spot you say? Well that would be way too easy.

Did I mention that wine is good, well this wine is AMAZING! It's from the Olive Garden  , my FAVORITE restaurant ever!  I really like sweet wines and this one is soo yummy.

Last but not least my mixer.  I got this as a gift from Adam's parents.  I love it! Granted it's not a kitchenaid mixer like a wanted, but it still get's the job done.  Making cookies are a breeze with this baby.

and because I can't do anything without "helping hands" in my kitchen especially taking photos for You Capture

Hope everyone has a GREAT Thursday, head on over to

Way to Fast!!

My baby girl turned four months on Monday, FOUR months.  Doesn't seem possible, that time really does go that fast.  One minute they are sleeping sound in your arms, then bam they are walking, talking, and into everything.  Before I know it they will be in school. Oh enough of that.

She's getting to the fun stage when they don't sleep all the time.  She likes to laugh and play and talk (well goo anyway).  She's starting to teeth, and unlike her brother drools constantly.  I mean it's a mess, but ohsoadroable. It's like one of those dogs, what is the name?

oh yea.   Saint Bernard. Okay maybe not that much YET

I love how the high chair swallows her.

She had her first taste of rice cereal last night, it was pretty hilarious because once again unlike her brother she was not having that.  She stared at me with those pretty blue eyes and said (in not so many words) "how dare you stick that bland, white paste in my mouth, bleh, here have it back". We shall try again tonight.

there was no saving these photos, I'm not sure why they were blurry, I guess I moved. hmm darn

Have a great day!

Grocery Day

Well I've put it off for as long as possible, but in the end, it always shows its ugly self sooner than later.  The dreaded grocery day.  Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have to load up two kids to go with.  No.  I take that back, it's just as bad.

I hate spending money (obviously this is a necessity) but I hate it.  Do I do it well? Well sure, who doesn't?!

I do try to save as much as possible. I HAVE to make a list before going, otherwise I can get easily sidetracked in the precious baby section and come home with WAY more than what I needed. I try to plan my meals for the week so it's less stressful when it comes time to actually prepare dinner.  Does this always work you ask? OF COURSE NOT!  So off I go to get the kids and myself ready for this adventure, hmmm maybe I can wait until Adam gets home and he can go with.

Probably not because I'm out of the essentials (i.e. bread, milk, butter, meat.). I have plenty of eggs and corn though if you need any! So wish me luck, I'm going to need it!

I hate this fridge, we are just renting right now and this is the tiny little thing we are stuck with.

Have a GREAT day all!

One of THOSE days

Friday was a very exhausting LONG and BUSY day.
(sorry if it sounds like I'm complaining the whole time, I really am NOT like that)

I had a Dr. appointment for Makinley, just a recheck to make sure her ear infection and congestion were under control for the weekend.

Woke up at 6:30am, or should I say my almost two year old woke me up.  It's really cute he runs in the room and says (in his little squeaky/high pitched voice) "Hi, Mommy" but then I roll over and look at the clock and think to myself "really you couldn't just lay there one more hour".  Then he starts his little chant "hungy hungy hungy" until to pry myself out of MYNOTSOCOMFORTABLE but feels OHSOGOODRIGHTNOW bed to get him a "popart" (pop-tart).

The puppies are wining in their kennels (we have two; a dachshund, and charcoal lab) they need to go outside to do their business.  Zane is throwing pop-tart all over the floor (thank goodness for dogs) and  Makinley is now crying in her crib, for she now is "hungy".  Why is it that everything has to all go chaotic that second. Why can't the dogs just wait a couple more seconds, or can't my baby girl just lay there and play while I try to pry my eyes open.  (I'm not a morning person) anytime before 8:00 is really hard for me

Anyway where was I?  Oh yeah.

So I get things settled down, and need to hop in the shower with little monster man, who managed to get the pop-tart EVERYWHERE. (It must be a kid rule that no matter what it is they have to get it in their hair, on the back of their neck, all over their little tiny chubby arms, and mashed up all over their bottom) Really?!  Baby girl is back in her crib playing, and I go to the porch to let the dogs in when I find this....

My fiancĂ©’s dog(that is another story for later) has decided that my book looked really delicious and wanted a little nibble, hell maybe even the whole back cover and page. I swear this dog dislikes me it's not the first thing of mine he's chewed up like my shoes, two brand new bras, and now my book. Nothing is sacred anymore not even from the dogs. Thankfully he only chewed the corner and it is still readable.

Enough about that.

We are getting ready to leave for the appointment.  Diaper bag? check.  Purse? check.   Baby girl in car seat? check.  Zane's shoes...missing.  Where on earth did Daddy put your shoes, as I run around on a rampage looking for shoes, I think screw it I will call him and find out.  My phone was just on the table.......uh.... great now that's missing too.

I had to go online and send myself a text message just to find my phone so I could call my fiance so he could sit there and say "UHHHH shoes hmmm I don't know hmmmmm".  By this time its 11:20 and the appt. is at 11:30.  So I think oh you can just wear the ones in mommy's car ( they might be a little small, but will work for now).  Then I scoop everything back up,  and out the door we go to see this...

The bronco.

Ooooh yeah my car was overheating, and is in the shop. phooey. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the bronco. I don't mind driving it at all, but hauling two kids in and out of this thing is another story.  I can barely get in it myself let alone lift a toddler and a car seat into it, and of course it's HOT outside so that makes everything even better.  Did I mention I blow dried and straightened my hair, really don't know what I was thinking, the humidity is a hair killer.

After three in and outs of the bronco, this mommy was pooped, and so were the little ones.  Back home for nap time (the best part of the day).

I could probably keep going but you get the gist on how my weekend went. I may have rough days being a new stay-at-home-mommy but in the end these two make it all worth while!
