You Capture-- Flowers

This weeks you capture is flowers.  I wish I would have taken that photo when I had the chance, my neighbor had some beautiful flowers growing,(not sure what they were called, should maybe ask). They were HUGE.  Unfortunately the rain came and demolished them.

The weather here has been less than ideal to capture any flowers.  The cold is slowly showing it's ugly self and the flowers aren't liking that too much.

it's so sad that winter is coming, and we won't see these bright colors for six months, although I am loving the color change of the trees.

I have used this one before( I know shame on me). I wanted to play around with the editing.

These next two were taken last week,  I'm not really sure if you could consider them flowers but I couldn't resist I absolutely LOVE the cattails.

I'm not really sure what these are called but I like them alot
This morning I was taking Z to pre-school and noticed some flowers on the side of the road, so on my way back I thought I would stop and see if I could snap a few photos.

Well lets just say everything was wrong. I didn't capture a single photo that looked at all decent, it was one thing after another.  Camera batteries dying, camera not wanting to focus on anything, wind blowing to hard... etc..  this is what I got instead.

That saying "look before you leap" well they mean it!!

Head on over to I Should Be Folding Laundry (what I will be doing all day today, loads upon loads) and check out some more flowers!
 Happy Thursday everyone!!

You Capture--Your Choice

This weeks You Capture was OUR choice!!  I was actually pretty excited about this because we were going to be busy and I wasn't sure how I was going to fit in a You capture assignment.

I actually took the time to edit some of my photos using Picnik.  Usually I just do it on my computer and not very much.  I really like how these turned out.

This last weekend we took our kids to the park to wear off some energy (mainly Zane) since Makinley just kinda lays there.  Although she's starting to move,(skoots everywhere) she now knows how to roll over from her back to tummy.  Before I know it she's going to be crawling.  Ugh too fast.

where was I...

While laying in the grass at the park

When did he learn how to climb a ladder?  Why must they grow so fast?

He was laughing at his father, who was doing a really good job at looking goofy so I could take this.

We also found some time and  went to visit Great Grandma Donna. She is amazing and I'm soo happy that she is in our lives.  This photo is priceless.

Our fair started this week, The Clay County Fair.  As far as county fairs go, this one is pretty great.
I didn't get the best pictures of Z with all the animals because he moves WAY to FAST.  He stood the longest at the baby chicks, I think if allowed he would have taken it with him.

And somewhere between me feeding or changing little kinners, Z thought the pears on the counter looked delish.  And, well they were.  You should have heard him with every bite, slurping up the juice.  Quite cute.
The mess well not so much..

Have a great day everyone.  Head on over to I Should Be Folding Laundry and check out more captures.

You Capture--Signs

UGH it's 8:50pm and I'm finally able to sit down and do this you capture post.  This weeks challenge was Signs.

My blog is a Sign.  A sign that I have been WAY too busy to even write anything.  Blog Neglect.

GUILTY.

This morning was a little hectic, I didn't want to wake up (what's new) to take Zane to daycare.  Yes I'm a stay-at-home-mom and I take my boy to daycare.  It's three days a week from 8-1pm.  He LOVES it and SO DO I.  I need some alone time with baby girl and he needs social interaction with other kids his age.  Plus he will be starting a pre-school prep program.  GREAT IDEA!

anyway.pictures.yes.

I drive by this sign every morning when taking Zane to daycare.  I'm pretty sure it's been there since I moved here about 15 years ago.  I finally actually noticed how much I like it.  The oldness of it that is.

That is the only sign I captured outdoors.  It was rainy, and cold.  So I went about my house on the prowl for some good signs, and stumbled on my sister's room.

She is back from her freshman year at college, decided it was a little more expensive on her own than she thought and is living with us while attending a local college.
(Can ya tell she's a college student)
she decorates with beer boxes
GO HAWKEYES!!

These are signs that I still have not hung up in our little boys room.  Mind you we have almost lived here a year.  Someday, eventually, it may just happen.

This last sign is probably my favorite one of all.

Ahhh it's mommy time the baby is sleeping. SHHHH

Go check out more Signs over at I Should Be Folding Laundry.

You Capture--Mornings

I am not a morning person at all.

I don't think there was ever a time that I liked mornings.  My son on the other hand wakes up around 6:30-7am which ultimately wakes his 4month old sister up UGH. (yes, she's a doll and sleeps through the night, LOVE)

So before I pry my eyes open, because I'm not a coffee drinker there is usually alittle of this

and while he's doing that,  I'm doing this

while he's shoveling eggs in his mouth, and on the floor, and every other crevice possible, ( thank goodness for dogs they pick up most of it) I'm feeding his sister.

meanwhile I turn his favorite blanket(shi shi) into a superhero cape
he had a blast
while his sister played on the floor

this morning I woke up before everyone, okay well the dogs woke me up....
I decided to go for a little walk and capture some sun and lake

I LOVE that this view is in walking distance (down the hill) from my house!
unfortunately the sun didn't stay out, its now cloudy and rainy.
Good thing my son is only 1 1/2 and won't remember I said we would go to the park, I may be in trouble then.

Have a GREAT Thursday everyone!
Head on over to I Should Be Folding Laundry and check out some more early Mornings
